Mumbai: City of Dreams

Where Tradition Meets Modernity

Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, is India's largest city and financial powerhouse. This coastal metropolis is a melting pot of cultures, dreams, and aspirations, earning it the nickname 'City of Dreams'.

Historical Journey

Originally a cluster of seven islands, Mumbai's history dates back to the 2nd century BCE. The city transformed under various rulers including the Gujarat Sultanate, Portuguese colonizers, and the British East India Company. The islands were merged through extensive land reclamation projects in the 18th and 19th centuries, creating the peninsula we know today.
